A dynamic working group
We actively advocate for the realization of psychotherapeutic and psychosocial care in society that takes into account the interests of all segments of the population.
To this end, we are professionally committed and promote networking and further education.
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven, well-founded, and effective therapeutic approach that alleviates psychological distress and strengthens personal agency.
Based on scientific, empirical findings, it helps patients break ingrained learning experiences and achieve positive changes in behavior, personal life, and social relationships.
Network
Our association, the Working Group for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, emerged from the Working Group for Behavior Modification (AVM-CH). The Academy for Behavioral Therapy and Method Integration (AIM) was spun off and is an important partner for training in psychotherapy.
The AKVT brings together psychotherapists (medical doctors and psychologists) and other professional groups under one roof. We are a collective member of the Swiss Society for Behavioral Therapy (SGVT). The psychologists' section of the AKVT is also a member association of the Federation of Swiss Psychologists FSP.
The asscociation
We are practically oriented and are particularly committed to good training and education in cognitive behavioral therapy, also integratively with other empirically justifiable therapeutic approaches. Our approach is social-psychiatric, practice-oriented, and community-based.
Our goal: Cognitive behavioral therapy for everyone!
